Necessary experience:
No experience required. Our trained Counselors and Guides will assess each camper’s individual ability and will work within the parameters of their skill and experience. All that is required is a good attitude and a willingness to try new things. We encourage you to contact us regarding any experience questions.
Physical requirements:
Many of our adventures are demanding on the body and some recovery time is necessary between activities. Though the camp is designed to reach every skill level, physical preparedness can help the experience. If necessary, contact us for a list of physical training exercises before camp.
Rules:
We will not tolerate the use of tobacco, alcohol or illegal drugs. We reserve the right to check for these substances. Any behaviors that become a risk to campers or others around them will lead to immediate dismissal from the tour.
Transportation:
Camper’s will be traveling around in new 15 passenger vans. Travel is necessary to see all the beauties of New Mexico, but we limit travel time to about two hours each trip.
Spending money:
In the wilderness of New Mexico campers will not have an opportunity to spend money. However, when in Taos and Santa Fe there will be time to purchase souvenirs.
Calling home:
We encourage campers to call home as soon as they arrive in New Mexico but discourage the use of cell phones throughout the trip as it limits the experience. However, campers will have an opportunity to call home once a week. Counselors will always have cell phones with them and will maintain contact with the main office of the camp daily.
